I'm still here...

I guess I just haven't really been in much of a writing mood lately. No real reason behind that other than I have been sort of busy and I have not had a lot of time to sit and peck away at the old keyboard.

Here's some of the latest highlights...

Sad news in the family that my Grandmother passed away on March 2nd. She was 88 years old and in a nursing home for the last 6 months or so. It was unexpected because there had not been anything wrong with her that we knew of. I felt especially bad because I had not gone to see her in some time.
So we did the family funeral thing and had several people tell me that it had been so long since they had last seen me. Its comical when people say, "You are little Ricky? I haven't seen you since you were this big?" What did you expect? I have grown over the last 30 years folks. I haven't many meals over the years.

Last week was a lot of fun here in C-Town. We had the Mid American Conference basketball tournaments at The Q. I have gone in with some guys from work and got a ticket package over the last four years. We get tickets for 7 games for $50. Which is a great deal IMO. They are usually pretty competitive games for the most part and the traditional bar hopping and messing with fans who travel up to enjoy the flavors of Cleveland bars. It's usually a pretty good time. And it's a great warm up for March Madness to start this week.

This week should zip on by again as I am talking Friday off work and going to enjoy the St. Patrick's day festivities of downtown Cleveland. I'm pretty stoked that it's on Friday this year. It should be quite the party at Flannery's. I'm thinking I might have to borrow Mom's digital camera and post some incriminating evidence on the web this year.

And then the topper is that Las Vegas is just 7 days away. That is shaping up to be quite the blow out as well. I just hope that my liver survives all this abuse.

Talk at you later...
